Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) Demonstrates Commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) has shown its commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by organizing a workshop aimed at enhancing the capacity for preparing the SDG Report and analyzing the results of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025. The event took place from October 28-29, 2024, at the PANA At Nata Chiangmai Chic Jungle Resort in Chiang Mai Province.

Dr. Paveena Ruknim, Assistant to the President responsible for SDG advancement and university rankings, stated that the workshop focused on creating an understanding of analyzing the university's strengths and weaknesses, along with developing an AI module to enhance the efficiency of verifying and categorizing various activities, articles, and research work.

Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pracha Yunyongkul, Assistant to the President, presented approaches for driving SDGs that emphasize integrating best practices from leading universities worldwide to elevate the development of education, research, and academic services to society, in line with the policies of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI).

The training covered sustainable development in multiple dimensions, including quality education, innovation development, promoting collaboration, sustainable community development, promoting good governance, and enhancing entrepreneurial skills for students. This aims to position RMUTL as a leading university in sustainable development within the ASEAN region.

This initiative not only promotes the capacity development of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna but also plays a crucial role in driving Thailand towards sustainable development according to the SDGs set by the United Nations. It reflects the role of educational institutions in contributing to the sustainable development of the country in all dimensions.
