Meeting with Wuxi Vocational College of Science and Technology, China

On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL),by Office of International Relations , held a joint meeting with representatives from Wuxi Vocational College of Science and Technology, People’s Republic of China. The delegation was led by Prof. Han Ning, Vice President; Prof. Zhang Li, Dean of the Faculty of Culture and Tourism; and Ms. Liu Xiaowei, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Overseas Education. Accompanying them were representatives from Beijing Huatec Information Technology Co., Ltd., including Ms. Luo Shasha, Director of ASEAN Business Strategy, International Education Technology Branch, and Ms. Supharat Kongrasri, Project Manager in Thailand.

The meeting was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teerasak Urachunanon, Vice President for Council Affairs, and attended by Asst. Prof. Pisit Wimonthanasit, Vice President for Planning, Policy, and Strategy; Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitibhorn Phanthachang, Assistant to the President; Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Liberal Arts; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, faculty members, and staff from relevant departments. The event took place in Meeting Room 2, 4th Floor, Library Building, RMUTL, Chiang Mai Campus.

The meeting aimed to discuss academic collaborations in various areas, including student and faculty exchange programs, joint research projects, and educational study visits. The initial focus is on collaboration in the Tourism and Hospitality Management and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) programs under the Faculty of Business Administration and Liberal Arts, as well as in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Logistics programs under the Faculty of Engineering.

On this occasion, Beijing Huatec Information Technology Co., Ltd. generously donated educational equipment to RMUTL, comprising six 50-inch televisions and two Hypersonic Kiosk displays. These resources will be utilized to enhance the learning and teaching environment in the Faculty of Engineering, equipping students with cutting-edge technology and preparing them to meet the demands of the digital era.

Following the meeting, the delegation from Wuxi Vocational College of Science and Technology and HUATEC toured the laboratories of the Faculty of Engineering, as well as the Tourism and Hospitality Management facilities. These visits showcased the university’s readiness and capacity to support international academic collaboration.

This meeting marks a significant step for RMUTL in building international partnerships and advancing educational development. The collaboration reflects the university’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and innovation on the global stage, paving the way for sustainable growth in education.
